How it started

Jupp Castle burst into life in 1996 so we have a bit of history.  The original partners were bought out by Heather in 2000 and the business continued with just one director until 2018 when Jo, who was already part of the management team, became a director.  We have been based in Fleet, Crondall and now Hartley Wintney but have clients as far away as Australia.

Our mission

We understand that your business is your passion.  No doubt it was created to give you and those around you a better future, and we want nothing more than to see you succeed by fulfilling your personal and professional ambitions.

At Jupp Castle we help you put a plan in place to reach those goals.  This plan isn’t set in stone because business and life aren’t always predictable, so we encourage you to be honest, open and flexible in your approach.  By revisiting your plan and measuring your progress on a regular basis you will see what is and isn’t working and can adapt accordingly.

Heather O’Reilly
Managing Director

Heather qualified as an accountant in 1994. She has been a director of Jupp Castle since 1997 and has owned it outright since 2000. Positive working relationships are absolutely key to Heather and her aim is to make Jupp Castle’s the best business partnership anyone could have with their accountant.

Heather works with clients to strategically plan their business and provide advice and support that will achieve individual and company goals.  Internally, she is responsible for business development, building the practice and staff welfare.

Outside of work, Heather loves jigsaw puzzles, baking, crafting, reading and motorbikes. She also enjoys spending time with her two grandchildren as they never fail to make her laugh.

Joanna Dewhirst
Accounts Director

Jo has been a Chartered Accountant since 1999 working in practise and industry, and started at Jupp Castle in 2016.

Her role as Accounts Director means she oversees the accounts department providing tax planning advice, completing self-assessment tax returns, preparing accounts for small companies with big ambitions and working closely with clients to fully understand their business and the environment in which they operate. Jo also has specialist experience of working with charities.

Outside of work, Jo loves outdoor fitness, reading a good book and spending time with her husband and two daughters.

Sally Case
Accountant

Sally is a Chartered Certified Accountant with 18 years’ experience working in both practice and industry. At Jupp Castle she is an accountant with responsibility for preparing statutory accounts, company tax returns, individual tax returns, management accounts and reports and general advice.

Over the years Sally has provided compliance and regulatory support as well as financial analysis and training to clients ranging from sole traders to directors and project managers within PLCs. More recently she has focussed on supporting local small to medium sized businesses and further developing her tax experience.

Outside of work, Sally enjoys baking, crafts, reading, music and exploring the local countryside.

Sarah Riddell
Payroll Administrator

Sarah is a Payroll Administrator at Jupp Castle. Her role includes processing clients’ payroll every pay period, answering client queries regarding payroll, creating and maintaining employees’ payroll records, processing pensions, and journals.

At Jupp Castle Sarah feels that she is working with professionals who she can learn from; they push and support her and allow her to take on new and challenging opportunities. Her latest challenge is learning bookkeeping on Xero.

Outside of work, Sarah enjoys being outside with her children and going on holiday – her dream is to explore as many countries as she can. She’s recently completed the couch to 5k and has a new love for running.

Casey Knox
Payroll Manager

Casey is our payroll manager and joined Jupp Castle in May 2021.

She has 8 years of payroll experience in both bureaus and in-house payrolls. Prior to working in payrolls she worked in treasury and accounts.

Casey’s role at Jupp Castle is to oversee the preparation of all payrolls and ensure they are completed in a timely manner and meet all statutory requirements. This includes such things as workplace pensions and P11d’s.
 
She enjoys the contact with clients and is cool under pressure with a confidence to help when needed, she is always looking for ways to improve the payroll process.  
 
Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family, three Labradors and friends, shopping, cruises to wonderful destinations and reading.

Amber Whatley
Bookkeeping Manager

Amber joined Jupp Castle in 2020 as a bookkeeping apprentice and hit the ground running from day one. Her ability is such that she has become our bookkeeping manager in just two years.  Her main duties involve working on Xero and QuickBooks to keep client accounts up-to-date, completing and filing VAT returns and processing sales and purchase invoices for clients.  She is an excellent trainer and is currently training Sarah to complete bookkeeping assignments.  She also carries out all the client training on Xero.

Amber is training for her AAT Assistant Accountant level 4 qualification.

At Jupp Castle, Amber enjoys the positive and welcoming company culture and diverse range of clients she works with. The role is dynamic, and no two days are the same.

Outside of work, Amber loves to bake, go horse riding and spend time with all of her animals.

Mim Warren
Office Administrator

Mim is the Jupp Castle Administrator and joined in 2020. She has a varied role covering all administrative duties for the business, including filing accounts with HMRC and Companies House, filing tax returns with HMRC, answering the telephone and providing general support for the team.  She also maintains the practice management systems and deals with clients’ books in and out.

Mim’s previous roles include legal assistant at a solicitor firm and administration at a large dry cleaning company head office. She is good at taking admin tasks from Heather to ensure she focuses on client work.

Outside of work, Mim spends time with her family, dog walking and eating out.
